Upstate Medical University's Child and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Services (CAIOS) are expanding! CAIOS was initially launched in 2020 and remains one of the only intensive outpatient programs for teenagers and their families in Upstate NY. CAIOS currently provides evidence-based treatment for high acuity adolescents (ages 12 to 18) and their families. The program is expanding to provide intensive outpatient services to adolescents and families struggling with eating disorders (EDIOP). The EDIOP will be an intensive, short-term program that utilizes evidence-based treatments (including DBT, ACT and FBT) to support adolescents and their families on the path to full recovery; preparing each adolescent to navigate the challenges of life, free of the eating disorder.
The Psychologist position will provide a high quality of care to a diverse population of adolescents struggling with eating disorders within the multi-disciplinary Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (EDIOP), as well as work with high acuity cases in our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (AIOP). The full-time clinician will provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and parent coaching. The clinician will participate in program planning and development. The clinician will provide consultation and coordination of care with schools and outside providers as needed. The clinician will attend yearly hospital-required performance evaluations and will maintain Continuing Education credits. The clinician will work closely and collaborate with the Adolescent Pediatric Department.
The clinician will work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-department setting that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, pediatricians, nutrition, and nursing. Candidate must excel in providing patient-centered care to support the patient’s recovery. DBT, ACT and FBT experience preferred. Training and supervision can be provided.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. and NYS license (or eligible) Psychologist required, but must receive license within 1 year of employment. *If currently unlicensed, a limited permit is required. Excellent clinical, consultative and written/oral communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Training and experience working with adolescents with eating disorders. Training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and/or Family Based Treatment, and experience working with children and adolescents.
